ASTRO STACK

FREEWARE
AstroStack has some essential tools in order to load and combine a set of pictures (from an AVI video or a sequence of bitmaps) and make it into a detailed and noise free image. I wrote it to make my own work easier and improve my results and believe others could benefit from it too.

MaxIm DL/CCD Demo Program

The MaxIm DL/CCD limited demo version will work for one month. It cannot save images, copy to clipboard, or print; but is otherwise fully functional. It is compatible with Windowsä 95, 98, ME, NT and 2000. The on-line help contains a set of tutorials to start you out quickly in CCD imaging; for your convenience help will pop up every time you start the program

AstroVideo

AstroVideo uses any Windows-compatible video capture device to create an effect similar to long exposure photography, by automatically integrating a large number of video frames. Astrovideo captures and superimposes hundreds of video frames to acheive far greater sensitivity than is normally possible with a low-cost video camera.
Astrovideo can be downloaded and used freely for 21 days. After that time it must be registered.

ABERRATOR

FREEWARE
The Aberrator is freeware that generates star-testing images to show the effects of aberrations(distortions) influencing the quality of a telescopes performance.

ASTRA IMAGE 2.0

A powerful image processing and restoration package for astronomical images.

ASTRO ART

Astroart 3.0 is a complete software for image processing, photometry, astrometry, CCD control and image stacking for CCD and film images. After you get Astroart, go back to the home page and VIEW the Astroart in LAB. It is a interesting image processing course from Cavezzo Observatory, requires the demo version of Astroart. LAB.# 1-3. The following LABs require the full version: LAB.#4-9

ASTROMETRICA

Astrometrica is a tool for scientific grade astrometric and photometric data reduction of CCD images. It reads SBIG (ST-4, ST-4X, ST-5, ST-6, ST-7 and ST-8), Cookbook (CB 211 and CB 245), HiSys (HiSys 11, 22, 24, 33 and HiSys 44), FITS (8 bit, 16 bit and 32 bit Integer files) and TIFF (8 bit and 16 bit uncompressed grey scale) image files up to 2048 x 2048 pixels in size.

HOME PLANET

Release 3.1 of Home Planet, a comprehensive astronomy / space / satellite-tracking package for Microsoft Windows 95/98 and Windows NT 4.0 and above, is now available; see details at the end on how to download and install the software. Release 3.1 of Home Planet is a native 32-bit Windows application which cannot be used on Windows 3.1; if you have such a system, download Home Planet Release 2, which remains available
