I called Dick one very cold, snowy, wintery night sometime after 1 a.m. in the morning telling him that my car died and we were stranded. He came promptly to get us, towed our car to his garage and repaired it on the spot - try to get someone to fix your car at 1 or 2 a.m. today
Great stations & owners like this are very rare in today's world

Located at 1917 Mitchell Avenue, this station was built in 1921
Roger Kerns' father acquired the station in the early 1960's
Roger took over the ownership around 1964 and operated it until 2004
He sold it to Rick Reed, who has the operation today
The above picture shows Roger Kerns at the pump on the left, and Rick Reed on the right
It may very well be the last full service station, and I think also, the oldest continuously operated gas station in town
